About the Ice Cream Festival
The
tastiest festival in Essex County returns to Amherstburg for the fifth year
running. The day-long festival takes place at Toddy Jones Park on Canada Day
July 1st, 2012. Beat the heat with a day of frozen treats, family entertainment
and fun for all ages.
The Amherstburg Ice Cream Festival provides an economical,
family-oriented event, with active games, entertainment, and a smorgasbord
of ice cream adventures for everyone. The mission of this non-profit festival
is to raise funds for Autism
Ontario and stimulate tourism and sales for local businesses while putting
smiles on the faces of all who attend.
There is entertainment for everyone at the Ice Cream Festival and admission
is absolutely FREE! Children’s entertainers will delight the youngsters
with shows and activities including the award-winning Mad Science. Exhibitions
by local performing arts groups, face painting and a splash pad will keep the
kids amused all day. The best of local bands will perform in the evening.
